Auction Committee
Chair: Bradon Wieschhaus, Hawks Nest Venture
The Auction Committee plans and organizes one of the KBA Foundation's largest annual fundraisers, bringing members together to create a fun and memorable event while raising funds to support the Foundation's mission. Committee members help develop the event theme, plan games and activities, secure sponsors and auction donations, and promote attendance throughout the community. If you enjoy being creative, collaborating with others, and seeing a big event come to life, this is the committee for you.

Builders Classic Committee
Chair: Caleb Janowski, Cornerstone Home Lending
The Builders Classic Committee plans and organizes one of the KBA's most anticipated member events—the annual Builders Classic Golf Tournament. Committee members help create a memorable experience by developing the event theme, planning games and activities, coordinating decorations, and assisting with event logistics from start to finish. If you enjoy golf, networking, creative event planning, and working with a fun, energetic team, this is the committee for you.

Builders & Developers Council
Chair: Dean Kelly, Rice Fergus Miller Architecture
The Builders & Developers Council is one of the KBA's most active and well-attended councils, bringing together builders, developers, and industry professionals to stay informed about the issues shaping our local building industry. Meetings feature updates from local jurisdictions, discussions on current projects and emerging issues, legislative and regulatory news, and presentations from guest speakers on timely topics affecting our industry. Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee serves as the voice of the building industry at the local level. Members stay informed on proposed policies, regulations, and development issues while discussing how they may impact housing, construction, and our members' businesses. The committee reviews local government actions, helps guide the KBA's advocacy efforts, and works to build positive relationships with elected officials and jurisdiction staff. Affordable Housing Council
The Affordable Housing Council (AHC) is dedicated to supporting policies and electing leaders who understand the importance of housing affordability and a strong home-building industry.
Through advocacy, candidate evaluations, and political engagement, the council works to ensure the building industry's voice is represented at the local and state levels. Members help guide endorsement decisions, support pro-housing initiatives, and invest in the future of housing throughout Kitsap County. This council is ideal for members who are passionate about advocacy and want to play an active role in shaping the policies that impact our industry.
Membership
Membership of the Affordable Housing Council is $125 annually and is separate from your KBA membership dues. Members who contribute at this level become Trustees of the council and are eligible to participate in endorsement votes and other council decisions.
Membership Ambassadors Committee
Chair: Eric Peterson, Chicago Title
The Membership Ambassadors Committee is dedicated to growing and strengthening the KBA community by creating a welcoming experience for every member. Committee members help welcome new members, make introductions at events, encourage engagement, and support member retention by helping members discover the many benefits of KBA membership. The committee also works alongside staff to monitor membership growth and identify opportunities to connect with prospective and existing members. If you enjoy building relationships, networking, and helping others feel connected, this is the perfect committee to join.

Peninsula Home & Remodel Expo Committee

The Peninsula Home & Remodel Expo Committee plans and helps execute the KBA's largest annual event—the Peninsula Home & Remodel Expo. Committee members work together to create an engaging experience for attendees by developing event activities, recruiting sponsors and exhibitors, promoting the event, and assisting with event logistics. From brainstorming new ideas to helping bring the Expo to life, this committee plays a vital role in the success of one of the KBA's signature events. From highlighting quality craftsmanship to promoting the latest trends in home design and construction, this committee plays an important role in showcasing the best of the local building industry. Professional Women in Building
The Professional Women in Building (PWB) Chapter is dedicated to supporting, connecting, and empowering professionals in the building industry through networking, leadership development, education, and community involvement. Open to both women and men, PWB provides opportunities to build meaningful relationships, grow professionally, and give back to the community. In addition to hosting its own special events throughout the year, the chapter offers a monthly Coffee Clutch, providing members with a casual opportunity to network, share ideas, and build lasting professional connections. Whether you're looking to expand your network, develop leadership skills, or become more involved in the industry, PWB offers a welcoming place to get involved.
Membership
Professional Women in Building membership is an additional $80 annually separate from your KBA membership dues.
Remodelers Council
Chair: Sean Hines, Spruce Properties
The Remodelers Council was relaunched at the request of our members to provide a dedicated forum for professionals involved in remodeling, renovation, and other vertical construction projects. Separate from the Developer Council, which focuses on land development and horizontal construction, the Remodelers Council addresses the unique opportunities and challenges faced by builders, remodelers, specialty contractors, and industry partners working on existing structures.

Workforce Development Committee

The Workforce Development Committee is committed to strengthening the future of the building industry by supporting workforce education and career pathways throughout Kitsap County. Working closely with KBA Foundation staff, committee members help administer the Builder Grant Program and KBA Foundation Scholarship Program, build relationships with local school districts and trade programs, and identify educational and community outreach opportunities. From participating in career fairs and industry events to connecting students with careers in construction, this committee plays an important role in developing the next generation of skilled professionals. If you're passionate about education, community involvement, and investing in the future workforce, this is the committee for you.
